Last week (2.26-3.4), the butyl acrylate market trend went down, and the price was lowered. Due to insufficient follow-up of downstream demand, procurement was not active, and on-demand procurement was the main focus. Inquiries were wait-and-see. The transaction volume was limited, and the intention to hold the goods was insufficient, which depressed the purchase price. The butyl acrylate market lacks driving force and the trend is viewed as weak. As of March 4, it was down -1.95% compared to last Monday.
At present, the spot trend of butyl acrylate is weak, the price has dropped slightly, market transactions are poor, sentiment is poor, downstream wait-and-see sentiment is heavy, and the willingness to hold goods is insufficient. The market lacked driving force, and the market trend fell within a narrow range.
On the demand side, downstream demand is tepid, and procurement is not active. Butyl acrylate tends to accumulate in warehouses, and inventories are steadily increasing. It is difficult to ease in the short term. From the trend, short-term tape warehouse sales are seen. Downstream tape and emulsion factories have basically returned to normal production levels. However, due to the slow recovery of terminal demand, most downstream factories mainly consume inventory and sell raw materials as they are purchased, with a general willingness to replenish supplies. The price of tape mother rolls has continued to remain stable, and the cost-end guidance for tape mother rolls has weakened. Affecting the purchasing mentality of downstream users, the demand from tape master roll manufacturers has weakened, and the market is mostly dominated by bulk orders.
On the supply side, the raw material n-butanol has fluctuated downwards, and cost pressure has decreased. Butyl acrylate production capacity utilization increased slightly, spot supply increased, factories and holders followed the market and shipped goods, downstream users mainly consumed early inventory, and buyers were more cautious and wait-and-see, while market discussions fell. The short-term fundamentals have not changed much, raw materials may stop falling and stabilize, cost storage is supported by bottom, downstream or small order replenishment is expected, butyl acrylate or range operation is the main one, pay attention to the changes in enterprise equipment load and raw material market.
Forecast for the market outlook: The supply and demand pattern is relatively loose. Short-term shipments in the domestic butyl acrylate market are still under pressure. Butyl acrylate is still likely to decline. The industry is facing loss pressure, but the overall decline is limited.
