From April 21 to 25, domestic ethanol prices fell by 0.62% month-on-month and 13.20% year-on-year. Regardless of the factory, there are maintenance plans, supply has decreased, and downstream companies are preparing for the holiday. As the preparations are coming to an end, market transactions have become sluggish, and ethanol prices have remained stable with little inventory pressure on companies.
On the cost side, after the previous increase, some companies have increased the number of vehicles arriving, and corn prices have dropped slightly, but some companies have also raised prices slightly, and the mainstream price remains stable. Grassroots purchases and sales are relatively light, and some traders still ship at high prices. The impact of ethanol costs is mixed.
On the supply side, Heilongjiang Hongzhan Laha’s 300,000-ton annual production unit was overhauled on April 8; Meihekou Fukang’s 250,000-ton annual production unit was overhauled in early April; Zhongke Green’s 100,000-ton annual production unit was overhauled in early April; Shandong Hengxin’s 500,000-ton annual production unit was shut down on April 13. It is difficult for major positive factors to appear on the ethanol supply side.
On the demand side, from the demand side, downstream chemical industry just needs to purchase, and the transaction weakened slightly. In some areas, the price dropped, and just-needed transactions were completed. The short-term ethanol demand side has a general impact.
Forecast for the future market, the demand side will increase slightly, and the supply on the market will be stable. In the short term, the domestic ethanol market will be consolidated.
