On the supply side: Yantai Wanhua is about to sell out, Huizhou Yuxin is producing normally; the price of maleic anhydride main factories fell in September, dealers’ quotations followed the decline, new orders were mainly for rigid demand, and the market was in a wait-and-see mood.
On the upstream side: the overall price of pure benzene fell in September. The price on September 1 was 8613.00 yuan/ton; the price on September 30 was 8183.00 yuan/ton, up 4.99%, and the market of hydrogenated benzene was mainly stable.
In September, the international crude oil market fluctuated and fell, the domestic naphtha market fell overall, and the market price of n-butane fluctuated and rose.
Downstream: In September, the price of unsaturated resin raw materials fell overall, cost support was weak, the recovery of unsaturated resin downstream demand was relatively general, and it was difficult to see a significant improvement on the demand side. The rigid demand purchase was limited, and the support for unsaturated resin was limited. The overall unsaturated resin market remained stable.
Before the National Day, the unsaturated resin stock was limited, and the support for maleic anhydride was insufficient. Some maleic anhydride manufacturers planned to reduce production or reduce load during the National Day. After the holiday, unsaturated resins resumed production one after another, and the demand for maleic anhydride may increase. In addition, the price of n-butane upstream of maleic anhydride rose, and the cost support was expected. The maleic anhydride market is expected to rise after the holiday.
